ThursdayWriteUp #13 – 1/3/13 (and a week)

Wow, I just realized how cool it would have been if I had jumped back in to my #ThursdayWriteUp routine last week.

I KNOW!

Oh well, I guess I should be happy enough that I survived the end of the world.

That being the case, there’s much to do in 2013 and, sorry, no resolutions this year.

This week I’ve spent most of my time sorting through all that I left alone by unplugging for the holidays. Re-organizing notes, lists and scraps with scribbles on them. I also spent about half a day attacking my email in-boxes (word of advice: If you plug in at all while on vacation, use that time to keep your “unread mail” number from climbing into the thousands).

I took a little time to see what folks have posted on their social media sites and doing a bit of research for my projects.

As far as the projects go, I’ve tapped out a few words this week but not enough to brag about. Most of my week was slotted for re-organizing and “refreshing” for 2013 so I’m not upset about the low word count for now.

Accomplishments for the week that are unrelated to writing:

    • Retired all holiday decorations until next Fall.
    • Finished another table for the back office/music room.
    • Cleared the property of all fallen branches and other random goodies left by the holiday weather.
    • Worked on a few songs I’ve written.
    • Finally updated some things on my GoodReads profile.
    • Lost five of the ten pounds I gained over the holidays.
    • Fed the cat.

I expect this coming week to be more about writing than organizing. We’ll see. 😉

What was your week like?

Let me know in the comment section below and, if you’re on Twitter, every week at the #ThursdayWriteUp. I’d love to hear from you!

Have a great week and thanks for spending time with me!

  1. Feeding the cat is always the most useful thing you can do 😉 Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year and that you have a productive 2013 😉
