It’s that time again!
Okay, the truth? This is my first time.
Yep. I’ve not posted my weekly writing progress on my blog before. Not as a regular practice anyway.
“So why the sudden urge to start a new habit?”
Well, I was taking my usual 5
hour minute break on Twitter yesterday and got to thinking about what I was going to post for my #FridaySnippets (you’ll have to wait ’til Friday to find out) and I thought “Hey! I wonder if there’s anything out there in the writing community for Thursdays”.
So I asked.
I sat here scratching my head.
Then brilliance struck!
Not my brilliance, of course. This is not a work of fiction.
It was the brilliance of Clare Davidson in the form of her next tweet:
“@GRBliss Or better still, start something off like @cscruttwell and I did with #sentenceaday“
Long story short: We tossed around a few hashtags and decided on #ThursdayWriteUp to use as a way to tweet/link our writing progress and/or adventures for the past week.
Sound fun? It does to me!
So here goes nuttin’:
I haven’t figured my total word count for the week yet but I can safely say that I’ve written two thousand to almost five thousand words each day on my writing projects and still had time to get some other work done.
I’ve finally gotten back to refining the timelines in “Boots” and “Armoth Ridge” which has also led to a few character revisions. I’ve also made some progress that should lead to finished maps for “Boots”.
In my non-fiction projects I was only able to write a couple thousand words total and rearrange some of the chapters and sub-chapters.
That’s it! Not a real record-breaking week. A good week though. You know why?
I’m still writing.
What do you think? What was your week like? Let me know in the comment section below and, if you’re on Twitter, every week at the #ThursdayWriteUp. I’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for spending time with me today!
And Thanks Clare! Great idea!
